Gone are the days when Bollywood ‘s best beard styles only saw the light of day during No Shave November. Nowadays, more and more men are growing out their facial hair and letting their follicles work the magic. Sporting a beard has become as normal as normal can be. We’d go as far as to say that beards are essentially just make-up for men. Think about it — that face fuzz tactfully covers your blemishes and flaws. That’s probably why most Bollywood celebrities have chosen to go down the bearded route over the past few years. 2018 has been a great year for celebrity beards, with a whole bunch of movie stars experimenting with different beard styles. Moustache and goatee styles.
10 Bollywood celebrities to take cues from on the best beard styles
We’ve rounded up some of the best beards seen in Bollywood in 2018 (so far), ranging from Ayushmann Khurrana ’s perfectly groomed beard to Ranveer Singh ‘s bold beard in Padmaavat.
1. Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan arrived at the GQ 100 Best Dressed party in a dapper white blazer and black shirt. But what helped him stand out in a room full of stylish men was his full, groomed beard, which did wonders for that enviable jawline. Pair that with a moustache and you’re good to go.
2. Shahid Kapoor
2018 has been a great year for Shahid Kapoor ’s facial hair. He went from his long-ish full beard and Rajput-style handlebar moustache in Padmaavat to a toned down version of the same. Currently, his trimmed ’stache and scruffy beard are doing wonders for his look.
3. Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan wasn’t the only one who did a brilliant job in the Netflix original series Sacred Games. His stylist and grooming expert also deserve a round of applause for the natural looking hefty beard and fuller moustache they’ve given his character, Sartaj Singh. If you’re in the mood to go all out, this is the perfect beard style for you.

4. Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh’s role as Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat was a gift to the grooming world. Now, we’re not saying you should go all out with the braids, scars and the thickly kohled eyes. But the beard – now that’s definitely doable. His Ducktail beard left a few thick inches hanging from his chin, connecting effortlessly with a moustache on the top.
5. Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann’s neatly trimmed sides and extended goatee floored us all when he walked in at the GQ 100 Best Dressed party. His stubble from Vicky Donor has come a long way, and we couldn’t be happier about his beard journey.
6. Akshay Kumar
Last week, Twinkle Khanna blessed us with this photo on Instagram of Akshay Kumar ‘s salt and pepper beard taking a casual day off work.
7. Sidharth Malhotra
Sidharth Malhotra ’s medium stubble is a winner for those of you who aren’t a fan of beard maintenance but also feel naked without any facial hair. It’s not short enough to look like he couldn’t be bothered to shave, and not messy enough to look like he forgot it was there.
8. Kartik Aryan
Kartik Aaryan ’s attractive stubble, paired with a soul patch is another low maintenance beard style that you can easily go for. His full sideburns add a contrast to the stubble, giving him a dynamic and modern look.
9. Arjun Kapoor
There is one thing that we all can collectively agree on – Arjun Kapoor is good at beards. His extended goatee with a thin but neat moustache, soul patch and perfectly manicured conjoined beard. And the sideburns are a true work of art.
10. Milind Soman
Milind Soman’s almost completely white Royale beard, which consists of a scattered ’stache, a soul patch and a thick chin patch, is our favourite from the model-turned-athlete in 2018.
