We were thrilled that our beard brush was ranked as the #1 best beard brush by Tools of Men, and that brought a few questions along with it. Short beard long goatee.
One of those questions was whether or not a beard brush was any use to men with shorter beards.
As I am currently in the early stages of growing out a new beard, I decided to let you know a few thoughts on the matter, and for those who would like the TL;DR…yes, beard brushes are very useful for shorter beards.
Long beards can be tamed by the regular use of a beard brush, most men know that. (Though some prefer combs, and that’s quite alright).
How to cut beard in style
However, my recent experiment in growing out my own beard from scratch has proven to me that it is very useful for styling and actually cleaning purposes.
For one, you need to start taming your hair from the early stages. It’s amazing how quick your facial hair can become unruly. A nice brush once a day can help your hairs grow in the right direction and not stick out everywhere.
One of the other cool things, though, is the cleaning aspect.
The boar bristles actually reach down past the beard hairs and get to the skin of your face. That means it can pull away dead skin cells, discarded hairs, and built up oils that otherwise would sit on your face and potentially cause irritation, redness, and itchiness.
Having a daily cleaning tool that also styles is immensely helpful and I’d recommend our brush for a man with any length of beard.
